This page is intended as a comprehensive archive of all the sessions of the Playtest campaign, currently occuring at Returner HQ
This section of the campaign deals with the entry of the PC's into the Adventures Guild, and their adventures before the siege of Cassin Keep.
Fetch Quest Forest/Fetch Quest Mountain
If there is one thing that the Halmaron Adventurers Guild has learned over the years,
it is this: rookies can't do anything right. Therefore, in order to keep the
rookies from messing up an important mission, every Adventures guild recruit
must prove their mettle by grabbing a useless trinket from hostile territory and
bringing it back to the guild.

Caravan Hunt
A week after the Fetch Quests end and the new adventurers enter the guild, the
organization is hired en masse to recover a wagon caravan split apart by a freak storm.
Unfortunately for the guild, bad weather isn't the only thing they have to worry about.
Recovery team 1: Acrun, Aemoh, Aramor, Kitsuko, Misato, Stabitha
Recovery team 2: Emira, Gerard, J'Rai, Lathrebeil, Zo

Creepy Mansion Run
[Description forthcoming]
Investigation team: Anferon, Aramor, Kyann, Luthien, Moland, Yazi
Istan Accord
The guild has received a job to evacuate the island of Istan, south of Sol and
the Halmaron area. The group hired to prepare the evacuation was told that it
was because of increasing monster activity making the island unsafe. Of course,
with any guild mission, the real reason is not very clear-cut.
Characters hired: Kuropo, Kyann, Misato, Stabitha, Xyzo, Zowar
Part 1 Part 2
The Great Divide
[Description forthcoming]
Characters hired: J'Rai, Kuropo, Gerard, Aramor
Where's Waldo
A very important diplomat named Waldo has gone missing somewhere in Moril, along
with his rather important documents. Worse still, he is needed to broker a
treaty within the week. As a last-ditch attempt to find him before the summit,
the Adventurers guild is brought in.
Search Party: Anferon, Hal, Kardek, Kehl, Oren, Shirinji
Past-Tense (Stabitha's Quest)
Background Excerpt: Despite her good intentions, Stabitha is an undisciplined young
woman. She wants to do the right thing, but she's used to answering
only to herself and doing some rather questionable things in order to
survive. Her skills and abilities have grown to the point where she can now
become a novice Guild member, but her attitudes leave much to be desired -
especially if she hopes to advance to a respected position in the Guild. And
gaining power is exactly what she wants, because along with her good intentions
she has one darker, secret desire burning away inside of her; a hurt that
stretches back years has grown into one terrible goal:
Find her father, and kill him.

Prologue: Mr. Jones
The Lounge, Chapter 1: Wasting Time
(The Lounge is a compilation of all of the RP session in #generica_lounge,
whether connected to a sidequest or not. This will be a regular feature in
each chapter, with sessions being placed as they become available. Characters
listed in normal colors in the description took part in the
session: characters listed in
purple have a confirmed link to their sidequest in
the session.)
It's only been a month in the Adventurers Guild, but the lounge is already
starting to get a workout from the recruits who want (or need) a drink after
a long day of easy jobs and beratement by superiors. And with the sort of
people who end up as adventures, there's always an interesting story, dangerous
fight, or maniacal plot to learn about from a drunk adventurer or five.
Mr. Jones (Stabitha,
Kyann, Leon)
Keep Defense
As the first wave of people from the Adventurers Guild come in as defenders, the
keep is attacked by a wave from the mysterious attackers.
Defenders: Akihito, Christopher, Gerard, Luther, Oren
Supply Run: The Elite Three
As reinforcements are reduced to a trickle with the keep all but shut off from
the outside world, another squad ends up face to faceless with some of the most
dangerous monsters yet.
Defenders: Leon, Oren, Crysania, Christopher, Zo, Luther
The Meat Grinder
With the Spur Wall now under the control of the enemy, the Keep has found itself under
extreme pressure from the near-constant attacks. These enemies seem to be different
from the others, though.
Defenders: Leon, Rasputin, Akihito, J'rai
Gunpoint Diplomacy (Leon's Sidequest)
From Leon's first letter to Shelter: At the moment, I am preparing a trip
to a living forest to the north of the guild. I ran across it during the caravan
mission. It was being chopped up by a group of Goblins. The forest forced my
group to kill them before we could leave. That forest could be a powerful
ally, so I am going back there with a Geomancer to try and get it to trust me.
In all likelihood, my group will have to take on some of the forces of the
Goblin King to do that, so I have been looking for some extra support.
I have already hired Oren for the job, and I plan to hire a red mage named
Christopher. I imagine that I will need help from both of them, and Christopher
will act as an extra pair of eyes so Oren doesn't do anything rash. Like try
and kill me or the Geomancer for the money. I hope to have a report on my
mission soon. [In progress]
Prologue: Encounter at Cassin Keep
The Nullifier
This keep mission may take the cake for most bizarre. A small group of guild members
were brought together by an unusual, loud man in a suit to destroy an item that is
supposed to stop any magic.
The team: Leon, Akihito, Zo, Stabitha, Moland
Ninja Assault
After the nullifier was stopped, waves of what appeared to be ninjas began an all-out
assault on the Long Wall, and very nearly succeeded in bringing it down.
First Patrol: Akihito, Zowar, Hyperion, Moland
Second Patrol: Rasputin, Zo, Christopher, Mogel
Third Patrol: Leon, Aramor, Hal, Kyann
Fourth Patrol: Anferon, Aurel, Chrysania, Kardek
The Death Snares
Commander's report: We have been on the defensive for quite some time,
now. At this rate, the enemy shall eventually overrun us. All of our
actions are going towards keeping the Keep alive, and we are failing to wear
down the enemy. However, there is one ray of hope. Reconnaissance has reported
that there exist several enemy structures that appear to hold great importance
to the enemy. It is believed that in each of these structures lies a part of
the key to breaking the enemy offensive once and for all. [In progress]
Snare 1 (The Inverted Tower): Gerard, Zo, Hal, Leon, Kyann, Oren, Moland
The Party
With the keep now under a lot less pressure, thanks to the capture of the
inverted tower, quite a few members of the Halmaron Adventures guild return to
headquarters to meet with their injured comrades and just relax while they still
can. This is the story of a few chance meetings at the lounge, and the events
that they spawned.
Connected to: Leon's Sidequest, Stabitha's Sidequest, Luther's Sidequest... (more to come)
Part 1: Chance Encounters
Part 2: Old enemies and new associates (Also listed under Luther's sidequest)
Red at Morning... (Luther's sidequest)
Background Excerpt:...out of fear for his life and the safety of his
family, Luther left his Vercena and his life as a racer to instead pursue his
other dream; to one day step foot on Cassia and find out whether the legends he
has learned about are true. He found his chance rather quickly when he learned
the Halmaron Adventurer's Guild was in need of capable sailors amongst its
ranks. He immediately signed up for the job, though under the alias Salanak
Threndar for fear that there might be someone who has heard of him, and of the
bounty placed on his head. [In Progress]
Prologue: Old enemies and new associates
Unearthed Sanctuary
Even in a life-or-death struggle for a strategic fortress, the guild manages to
find the time to take on new jobs. This group is originally called in to deliver
some cargo to the desert capital of Hiruasa, in the kingdom of Prieve. When their
cargo ends up worthless, however, the group ends up finding an alternate job to
take up the slack.
The team: Kuropo, Kyann, Moland, Stabitha, Xyzo
Bar Brawl
Cassin Keep is now (relatively) safe. The attacks are starting to slow down. The guild
is almost at full strength again. Others may soon be coming to help with the keep's
defense. The Adventurers Guild is even lessening the keep details. In theory, life
should be going well for the new recruits.
It's just too bad that theory never works as well in real life. Especially
when one recruit's actions put him, and everyone near him, in the crosshairs
of some very dangerous creatures.
Recruits attacked: Leon, Christopher, Rasputin, Kyann, Mogel, Zo, J`Rai, Moland
Airship Assault
There has been a recent resurgence of activity at the keep, with the monsters getting
progressively bolder in their attacks. Because of this, more soldiers are being
brought in to reinforce the keep. But when one group of these reinforcements ends
up being attacked en route, a whole new set of problems crop up.
Recruits: Crysania, J`Rai, Rasputin
Kaessen Keep Supply Run
After the airship disaster (seen in Airship Assault), Cassin Keep is in very bad shape.
Fires are everywhere, a majority of the defenders are injured, and the monsters may
very well have their chance to take it out once and for all. To try and prevent that,
the Guild has been hired to take a supply caravan to the keep, so they can get the
materials they need to stay alive. At least, that was the original plan.
The Team: Mogel, Moland, Stabitha, Zo, Rasputin, Akihito
Midnight Kidnapping
It seemed like the attacks on the guild would be over after one group managed to all but
destroy the lounge and everything in it. It's too bad that nobody realized the soldiers
of Chaos Lord Brigado were much more dedicated than anybody thought. Especially when
they're trying to get back someone who was once one of their own.
Rescue party: Kitsuko, Valentine
Old MacDonald's Farm
Old MacDonald is, quite possibly, the best client the Adventurer's Guild ever had.
Whether it's crop circles, vampire gophers, mutant plants, or even mad necromancers,
MacDonald has the craziest problems in the entire country. Despite it all, he still
manages to sell enough to not only make a living, but hire the guild for the next time
something strange happens. These are merely some of the stories of adventurers taking
care of the farm's troubles the best way they know how.
Team 1: Floria, Freewind, Lathrebeil, Kardek, Valentine
Team 2: Aurel, Hyperion, Kitsuko, Kehl, Misato, Mogel
Team 3: Anferon, Kitsuko, Leon, Moland, Misato, Oren
The Challenge
The guild often gets challenges from monsters, people, or organizations of all stripes.
This one is no different. Some soldier wants a group of heroes to go to the city of
Gradiux to fight him for some trinket, or something. The guild is rather busy (with what,
they never said), so they decide to send a few recruits at the problem and hope they
make it go away.
The Challengers: Rasputin, Oren, Lathrebeil, Mogel, Anferon, Stabitha
Capital Acquisition
The economy of Halmaron has been slowing down lately, thanks to the series of recent
attacks and battles, not to mention the incoming winter. To give the economy a shot
in the arm, the Guild hires out some groups of people to gather a big wish list of
materials to make some new goods.
Forest team: Anferon, Floria, Freewind, Hyperion, Salanak, Saniel
Sea team: Christopher, Hal, Misato, Mogel, Rasputin, Zowar
[NOTE: Incomplete formatting]
The Lounge, Chapter 2: On the Highwire
Nothing breeds a better social life than the threat of impending death. The
recruits of the Adventurers Guild are just finding this out, and are spending
every chance they get to get friendly with their new war buddies and/or drink
their brains out.On top of that, some guild members are making plans, some are
avoiding others' plans, and at least one has been making a pretty tidy profit.
Encounter at Cassin Keep (Leon's Sidequest)
All Apologies (Zo and Kyann)
The Party (Leon, Stabitha, Luther, Oren...)
Debutante (Anferon, Zowar, Floria)
A Change of Plan(s) (Leon, Oren, Christopher)

The House of Arcana (and alcohol) (TBD)

Training: Earn Your Wings
A group of people are gathered by the Guild for some very special training that will
give them a definite leg up in future missions. Assuming they survive, of course.
Adventurers trained: Leon, Stabitha, Kyann, Misato, Xyzo
Part I
Part II
Wing Pendant Saga
A party of adventurers is hired on short notice to help defend a specially designed
fortress containing a powerful artifact. What they didn't realize is that the job
was not as simple as it appeared, and the group ended up in a family power stuggle
and a move by a mysterious new organization.
The team: Anferon, Xyzo, Moland, Zo, Leon, Gerard, Misato
