James 'Old Man' MacDonald has been running the same farm, just outside of the city, for longer than most of you have been alive. And he's a long time Guild customer, because his terrible luck has always plagued the farm with disaster after disaster.

[18:31] < Tempest56> One year, it was giant locusts. Another, it was a small volcano. Every year, often multiple times, something terrible happens on the farm. But MacDonald always manages to pull it out somehow and keep going. Today, you've been given an assignment to go and help the farm out of yet another jam - a mysteeeerious one, too.

Recently, the crop fields have been getting... changed. Each morning, it's a different field. We get up and - boom. Entire acres of crops have been bent over, twisted and turned to form strange symbols."

[18:35] < Tempest56> "Nobody knows what to make of these crop circles, but they're starting to disturb the workers. The crops haven't been seriously harmed yet, but this has to stop. That's your job. Investigate these crop formations, find out what's causing them, and stop it. Pay is the usual rate, of course."

[18:37] < Tempest56> "As for leads - none. We haven't found any tracks, there doesn't seem to be a pattern to which fields are being tampered with, and even when we leave folks to watch the place, nobody's seen coming in or out."

[18:50] < Tempest56> The road's pretty well marked - MacDonald's farm is big, well-known, and not far. It's only a short trip. The afternoon's sunny, there's a nice breeze, everything's cheerful and happy.
[18:50] * FloriaMargarette ties her hat loosely around her neck and lets it fall backwards
[18:51] < Tempest56> Just ahead, however, there's something in the road. Kinda odd, that. It looks kind of like a small shack sitting on the side of the road, with a fence across the path.
[18:51] * K_Thyme describes that to Floria, sounding remarkably like the GM :P
[18:51] * Valentine` relaxes and gets a little nap time in
