[01:40] < Oren_Camala> "So, do I want to know what that thing on the wall was before it was killed in here?"
[01:40] < Leon_Sernia> 6*The ninja has not said a word since she sat down. She seems a little confused, and is looking at Leon with concern.
[01:40] < Kyann> "Some kind of dragon-lizard... thing."
[01:40] < Kyann> "It was a lot like those ninjas that were attacking at the keep."
[01:40] < Oren_Camala> "I saw one of those at the Keep... but it was hollow like the other Ninja."
[01:41] < Leon_Sernia> "They probably were from the same group."
[01:41] < Kyann> "Well that one clearly wasn't."
[01:41] * FloriaMargarette tugs on Kyann's mop
[01:41] < Kyann> "...What?"
[01:41] * FloriaMargarette wants to mop the floor but can't express it
[01:41] * FloriaMargarette knows that Kyann ought to be resting after being wounded, not working.
[01:41] * Kyann blinks. And blinks again.
[01:42] < Oren_Camala> "I think she wants the mop."
[01:42] < Kyann> "I'm fine, there are others worse off than me.:
[01:42] * Leon_Sernia notices the ninja looking at him.
[01:42] * Kyann shrugs and hands over the mop.
[01:42] < Leon_Sernia> "...I'm okay. Really."
[01:43] * FloriaMargarette remembers a guy who was gored by a Gorgon but tried to keep on herding them afterwards, and died of a clot in the brain, but she can't tell him! Zowar probably could! If only Zowar were here...
[01:43] < Kyann> "If she *wants* to mop, there's a million other things I could do."
[01:43] * FloriaMargarette withdraws the grass and starts mopping the floor
[01:43] * Kyann goes to find something to scrub the walls with, leaving a thin trail of blood.
[01:44] * FloriaMargarette takes a bucket and fills it with water
[01:44] < Leon_Sernia> 6*The ninja says something in her strange language.
[01:44] * FloriaMargarette starts a systematic routine of mopping the floor, rinsing the mop in the bucket, and dumping the water outside
[01:45] * Oren_Camala perks up at the Ninja's language, "Hm?"
[01:45] * Oren_Camala tries to say something back...
[01:45] * Kyann scrubs the walls, not paying any mind to his wounds. He either wants to appear tough, is stupid, or both.
[01:45] * Kyann stops when Oren speaks to the ninja girl. "You understand her?"
[01:46] < Oren_Camala> "A little..."
[01:46] < Leon_Sernia> 6*The ninja's eyes brighten, as she seems to understand Oren. She says something back.
[01:46] < Kyann> "...What's she saying?"
[01:46] < Oren_Camala> "She's confused..." And then Oren responds to the Ninja...
[01:47] * FloriaMargarette now realizes who the Ninja must be, but continues to try to cleanse the floors
[01:47] * Kyann 's expression darkens. Of all people to understand her, it had to be that evil son of a bitch. Oh well... it can't be helped.
[01:47] < Leon_Sernia> 6*The ninja responds again in her own language. Leon looks on, very interested.
[01:49] * Oren_Camala responds back again, this time one word that everyone understands is said in the midst of that other language "Oren."
[01:49] < Leon_Sernia> "So, what is she saying, Oren?"
[01:49] < Oren_Camala> "Introductions right now."
[01:49] < Leon_Sernia> 6*The ninja looks a little confused. She continues talking, though.
[01:50] * FloriaMargarette bites into her sleeve and tears it off, then ties it around her head. The stench just won't go away.
[01:50] * Oren_Camala sets the mop against the wall and heads to sit near the Ninja.
[01:50] * Kyann wonders if anyone noticed that he farted...
[01:50] * Kyann continues cleaning while making more of a mess.
[01:50] * FloriaMargarette coughs and ties a rag around her mouth

[01:52] < Oren_Camala> (This time in Oren's response the name Leon is heard.)
[01:52] * FloriaMargarette grabs a seat, then grabs Kyann's arm, and forcibly pushes him into the seat.
[01:52] < Leon_Sernia> 6*Now Leon is really interested. The ninja speaks again...
[01:52] < Kyann> "What the-- HEY! I said I'me fine!"
[01:53] * FloriaMargarette takes one of her own tonics, pinches Kyann's nose, cocks his head back, and tries to pour the tonic down
[01:53] < Kyann> "Wha-- gggrghrhrg."
[01:53] * Kyann is silenced of any complaint by the force-feeding of the medicine.
[01:53] < Leon_Sernia> "Can you translate?"
[01:53] * FloriaMargarette then goes back to mopping
[01:54] * Oren_Camala responds to the Ninja and then says, "Uh, Leon, I think she's thanking you for saving her life."
[01:54] < Leon_Sernia> "...oh. Please tell her that it was the least I could do. And could you ask her what happened to her in the first place?"
[01:55] * FloriaMargarette wishes Zowar were here to talk about how best to clean the stench of humanoid blood out of wood and stone, to reassure her that the situation was containable
[01:56] * Oren_Camala tries to translate for Leon.
[02:00] * FloriaMargarette wishes that Zowar would tell her about a time this happened before, and how they dealt with it, so that she could go do the same thing
[02:02] < Leon_Sernia> 6*The ninja seems to smile a bit, then starts talking up a storm.
[02:02] * Oren_Camala is a bit overwhelmed.
[02:02] * FloriaMargarette smiles faintly
[02:04] * Oren_Camala is all like "Damn."
[02:04] < Leon_Sernia> "Wow. She must have a lot to say."
[02:04] * Kyann watches with interest.
[02:04] * Oren_Camala responds with just a few words in that other language...
[02:05] < Oren_Camala> "To cut the details out... I don't think she's from around here. Her name is Jennifer, by the way."
[02:06] < Oren_Camala> "She's also had it... hard on her way to your loving arms."

[02:07] * FloriaMargarette feels like she understands without knowing the details... she hopes.
[02:07] * Oren_Camala goes off talking to the Ninja...

[02:09] * FloriaMargarette breathes freer as the smell slowly begins to clear up
[02:10] < Leon_Sernia> "She could be our way to stop those hollow ninjas."

[02:10] < Leon_Sernia> 6*The ninja is still chatting happily away.
[02:13] < Leon_Sernia> 6* The ninja smiles at the last thing Oren says, then continues.
[02:23] * Leon_Sernia looks drained. In more ways than one.
[02:24] * FloriaMargarette takes a seat and removes her torn headband
[02:24] < Leon_Sernia> "Oren, perhaps you two ought to continue this conversation later?"
[02:24] < FloriaMargarette> ((With a look of INTENT))
[02:24] < Leon_Sernia> "Right now, we do need to get her to safety."
[02:24] * Kyann relaxes in his seat, starting to feel the pain now that he's no longer working.
[02:25] < Oren_Camala> "Erm... We were just getting to the good stuff, but whatever you say Boss."
[02:26] < Leon_Sernia> "How about we continue this tomorrow, when we're all a little better."
[02:26] < Leon_Sernia> "I'm sure she knows something. We shouldn't push her right now."
[02:27] < Oren_Camala> "Right."
[02:27] * Tanarin has quit IRC (Quit: )
[02:28] * Leon_Sernia turns to the ninja, smiles, and says "Thank you, Jennifer."
[02:28] < Leon_Sernia> 6* The ninja smiles back and says something else.
[02:29] < Leon_Sernia> 6* The only clear word is "Leon".
[02:29] * Oren_Camala responds to Jennifer, before telling Leon, "She thanks you again, Boss."

[02:33] < Leon_Sernia> 6* The ninja says one last thing, and smiles at Oren. That has to be a first.
[02:33] * Oren_Camala blushes as he stands up and bows, ever so politely.
[02:34] * FloriaMargarette takes a bottle of fragrance, soaks a rag with it, and wipes strategic points of the room with it
[02:34] * FloriaMargarette can always trust a bartender's cabinet!
[02:35] * Oren_Camala scoops his injured employer up in his arms, "Leon, where are you staying? You shouldn't be walking in your condition. Especially with someone like her to take care of you."
[02:35] < Leon_Sernia> "Jennifer, I'm not sure if we're safe here anymore. I ought to take you to your room."
[02:36] * Leon_Sernia keeps Oren at arm's length. 1"Thanks for the concern, but I'm still well enough to get to my room."

[02:37] < Leon_Sernia> "Thanks for the concern, though."
[02:37] < Leon_Sernia> "I just need some rest. We can talk more tomorrow."

[02:38] * Leon_Sernia slowly gets up, motions for Jennifer to follow, and ever-so-slowly goes to what will be her new room.
[02:39] < Oren_Camala> "What'll you have Kyann? First drink is on me tonight."
[02:41] < Leon_Sernia> 6* After Leon takes Jennifer to her room, he says goodnight and ever-so-slowly walks to his own room, keeping himself sturdy via the wall.

[02:44] * Oren_Camala order an alchoholic drink for the first time in the lounge's history, a Grasshopper.

[02:49] * FloriaMargarette figures that she could not have had the room all to herself for very long and simply continues to write to Zowar, trying to keep her lines straight
[02:49] * Kyann fishes a battered and slightly bloodstained, but still smokable pack of cigarettes from his jacket and lights one up.
[02:50] < Oren_Camala> "There's one person alive that thinks I'm not an evil son of a bitch. Seems like a good occasion to celebrate."
[02:53] < FloriaMargarette> * The Bartender speaks up. "Ya mean, that Salanak boy?"
[02:53] < Oren_Camala> "No, I'm quite sure he has a rather dark opinion of me. I was speaking of the young lady with Mr. Sernia."
[02:53] * Kyann chooses not to comment.
[02:54] < Kyann> "What's her story, anyhow?"
[02:55] * Oren_Camala sighs.

[02:56] * FloriaMargarette writes, "Sometimes I feel that I am good for nothing, or that I don't know anything. But you know everything, don't you? I guess you don't know how I feel right now..."
[02:57] < Oren_Camala> "She's not from around here. Some place called 'United States'. Seems the Ronnie that is in charge of the Ninjas was some kind of bigwig there once upon a time. I don't know how she got here, but she's been through something approximating hell..."
[02:58] * Oren_Camala downs his drink in one shot.
[02:58] < Oren_Camala> "Poor girl."
[02:59] * Kyann shakes his head. "Weird."
[02:59] < Oren_Camala> "Definately."
[03:01] < FloriaMargarette> ((That gives me an insane idea))
[03:01] * Oren_Camala turns around and looks at Floria.
[03:01] < Kyann> "I wonder if there are any books in town that have records of this 'United States'"
[03:01] < Newbie_X> ((Define 'insane'. Also, define your idea.))
[03:02] < FloriaMargarette> ((Although I'm not sure we want to go through with the real world touching the PTC))
[03:03] < Oren_Camala> "Dunno. We could probably try to track down that old guy in the desert that taught me her language... Well, he was pretty old, so I doubt he's still alive. Hell, I wouldn't even know where to start looking for him."
[03:03] < FloriaMargarette> * One book on the shelf looks promising. Journey of the Fifty Stars
[03:05] * Kyann checks the book out.
[03:05] < Kyann> "Something about this one stands out.... Hmm...."
[03:05] < Kyann> "Nope. Nothing interesting."
[03:05] * Kyann replaces it.
[03:07] < Oren_Camala> "The way she was talking, it sounded like she was from another world entirely. I really doubt there are books about it."
[03:08] * Kyann shrugs. "Probably some strange story she was fed when the ninja indocrinated her."
[03:09] < Oren_Camala> "Doesn't explain this language she speaks that I know."
[03:09] * FloriaMargarette reaches for the envelope she was going to put the letter in, but discovers it is not there.
[03:09] < Kyann> "Does anyone else besides your teacher, you, and her speak it?"
[03:09] * FloriaMargarette goes upstairs to her room. Perhaps she has some envelopes in her desk.
[03:10] < Oren_Camala> "I've never heard it anywhere else."
[03:12] < Oren_Camala> "Who knows, maybe that old guy was her Grandfather or something."
[03:12] * FloriaMargarette almost stumbles on somebody else's things, and continues to her desk.
[03:13] * FloriaMargarette finds an envelope and stuffs her letter into it
[03:13] < Kyann> "Could be. Never know."
[03:15] < Oren_Camala> "Now that Floria is gone, I have a question to ask you."
[03:15] * FloriaMargarette leaves the envelope on the table, changes, and slides into bed.
[03:15] < Kyann> "What is it?"
[03:15] < Oren_Camala> "Why is that you seem to refuse to kill?"
[03:16] * FloriaMargarette has quit IRC (Quit: Night all)
[03:19] * Kyann blows a smoke ring. "Because no matter how far a person falls into shadows... I've only met two who were beyond redemption." He glances quizzically at Oren. "And I'm not certain about one of those anymore."
[03:20] < Oren_Camala> "I see... Redemption..."
[03:21] * Oren_Camala ponders for a moment.
[03:22] < Oren_Camala> "Well, in honor of my good friend Salanak, who is not with us tonight, I shall have a drink."
[03:23] * Oren_Camala orders a Vercena Saltslug from the bartender.
[03:23] * Kyann smirks. "And in honor of our new friend from these 'States' I shall have another."
[03:23] * Kyann orders himself a Desert Rat.
[03:25] * Oren_Camala drinks the Vercena Saltslug in one go, the thick greyish liquid leaving the inside of the glass coated.
[03:26] < Oren_Camala> "I believe I shall call it an evening. Perhaps we can... talk like this in the future, Kyann."
[03:26] * Kyann downs his drink and lets out a satisfied belch. "I look forward to it. Next time, I'm buying."
[03:26] * Oren_Camala leaves a few gil on the counter to pay for his drinks before departing.
