She looks about the same age as you, dressed in a flowing white dress. She looks upon you silently, with sadness in her eyes.

[19:53] <Aldante_Fax> You feel a shift and the ground beneath you seemingly parts, the white giving way to the blasted scenery below. The entire plaza is entirely gone and several city blocks have been destroyed by the resulting explosion from expelling the evil from this place.

[19:56] <Aldante_Fax> The man speaks again. "Can you make such a sacrifice for her, Ceol Taal'fa?"

[22:30] * Aldante_Fax sets down the 'semi-open floor' sign.

[22:31] * Koreyan is dramatically shocked by Nacht's dramatic appearance. More drama.
[22:31] <Ceol> "They both felt like they should have killed me.. but instead I am alive, and it seems my fur has changed abit."
[22:31] * Mayard now looks just plain annoyed that Nachttier is still alive.

[22:33] * Tetra takes a moment to rub his left arm a bit, pain *JUST* starting to completely vanish... and it looks like the cuts all over his arm aren't bleeding any longer.
[22:34] <Ceol> "I have no idea how I got back here. Did any of you see two women and a man leave this general area? and yes, I do not feel well."
[22:34] * Mayard is apparently satisfied with how he's standing now, and goes over to Koreyan to try and bring him aside to talk for a moment.

[22:37] * Nachttier hefts the crystal up into the air slightly and catches it with his other hand.

[22:40] * Janos eyes Mayard and Koreyan curiously, looking not at all threatening.
[22:40] * Koreyan looks at Mayard, still watching Janos as much as he can. "What's up?"
[22:41] * Mayard takes Koreyan a bit away from the others, and is talking in whispers. "I need to talk to you about Janos."
[22:41] * Tetra sits down, cross-legged as usual... trying to take another rest before the group really decides to move.
[22:41] * Yvalphone feels uncomfortabe next to Janos. He's so...shifty.
[22:41] * Koreyan raises an eyebrow. "What about him?"
[22:42] * Ceol sees Tetra sit down and decides to do the same. "What exactly happened to.." points at his arm.
[22:42] * Mayard is still whispering. "Well... I just found out something about him. Something important."
[22:42] * Nachttier holds the crystal up at eye level, examining every facet of it...
[22:42] * Tetra looks at Ceol. 1"... something important."
[22:43] <Mayard> "It seems that he knows some people that can lead me to something I've been looking for for some time."
[22:43] * Koreyan nods. "What's that?"
[22:43] <Ceol> "If you do not wish to speak of it, I understand."
[22:43] <Mayard> "I've had some notes to something big that happened to the East, and I've been trying to piece together what happened and who did it for a while."
[22:44] * Koreyan pauses. "And you want me to hold off on taking him in until that gets taken care of..."
[22:44] * Tetra shakes his head. 1"It's... well, here. Let me show you." 6*With that, he holds his right hand out, palm up... as he focuses, a small ball of energy forms in his hand. Looking through it, it's almost as though time itself was distorted.
[22:44] <Mayard> "And it seems that he has has contacts to get me that information.... yes. I need him alive and free, so he can contact his comrades and get this information."
[22:44] * Janos has his hands in his pockets, watching the proceedings with interest.
[22:45] <Tetra> 6*After a few seconds, the ball dissipates.*
[22:45] <Ceol> "Very strange, but interesting as well. What exactly did I see?"
[22:45] <Tetra> "... it would seem that this energy wishes to make itself known to me now."
[22:46] * Koreyan pauses to think for a bit. "... If I agree, I'll be coming with you."
[22:47] <Tetra> "The energy of Enchantment, drawn to slow down time itself. There are other ways I can use it, but..." 6*He looks at Nacht, then Ceol." 1"... I doubt either of you would appreciate my showing you."
[22:47] <Mayard> "...do you really think you'll be able to survive in the circle of thieves that he would run with? Especially if you're found out as a bounty hunter?"
[22:48] * Ceol nods. "Something I doubt I'll come to understand, but even that simple explanation you gave has helped."
[22:48] <Mayard> "I can keep an eye on him too as well as you can."

[22:49] * Tetra nods in response. 1"Actually... if you don't mind, may I have a word?"
[22:49] * Koreyan sits down to think. "That wouldn't be incredibly difficult. I'm sure there are hunter contacts I could use if anything were to happen..."

[22:49] * Tetra stands up and walks away from the party, waiting for Ceol to join him.
[22:50] * Ceol slowly stands, using his sword to help the process be less painful. Then limps over to Tetra.
[22:50] <Mayard> "I can make sure that he doesn't do anything serious. And if he does, I can always leave a message with the right people."
[22:51] * Tetra looks at Ceol. 1"I take it you wish to keep Yval safe as well... correct?"
[22:52] * Ceol looks abit confused as he says this. "Yes"
[22:53] * Tetra thinks for a moment, good hand at his chin. 1"Interesting... Fate must be preparing her for the road ahead."
[22:53] <Koreyan> "I can't ask you to do that... But I wonder. Why can't he send a message to a contact about you... while I take him in..."
[22:53] <Ceol> "Fate? The road ahead?"
[22:54] <Mayard> "...I don't think that this would be a one-contact deal..."
[22:54] * Tetra looks at Yval for a moment. 1"She... has a difficult journey ahead of her. A very long and difficult journey." 6*He looks back at Ceol. 1"She's strong... stronger than any of us, perhaps. But I don't think she can finish her journey alone."
[22:55] * Nachttier stops studying the crystal and walks over to where Yvalphone and Janos are standing, "Everyone else seems to be conspiring, so why not us three?" he says as he smirks.
[22:55] <Tetra> "And I feel as though something outside of our control is conspiring to bring guardians to her side. 6*He motions to Ceol and himself.*
[22:55] * Yvalphone is watching Carson sleep. He does it well.
[22:55] <Janos> "I wouldn't say we were conspiring, exactly."
[22:56] * Ceol looks down for a moment, then back up to Tetra. "Perhaps this is true, I am not sure. But if ever you or her are in trouble, call on me for help."
[22:56] * Tetra nods. 1"To be honest, I was counting on that."
[22:56] * Yvalphone smiles weakly as she looks up at Nacht. "Have you figured out who those people were. The ones we met on the way into the city?"
[22:57] * Koreyan flashes a look over at Janos, then looks back at Mayard. "I'll think about it. I'll give you an answer when we hit Cocoon."
[22:57] * Janos gives Koreyan a big toothy grin when he glances over.
[22:57] * Tetra motions to his arm. 1"This body is... growing frail. The magics that course through my body, while giving me strength, also take it away... and I don't feel as though I can protect her alone."
[22:58] * Janos has a sorta, 'I win, sucker' look on his face.

[22:58] <Nachttier> "I have no idea who those two were, I saw them briefly on my way here, and found this trinket," 6he holds the crystal to Yval, "in their wake."
[22:58] <Mayard> "Hurm... okay. I'll settle with that, for now."
[22:58] <Tetra> "I don't fully understand the powers you wield, but... I feel that she may need them to succeed."
[22:59] * Mayard seems to be thinking about something...
[22:59] * Yvalphone looks at the crystal intently. "That's strange.."
[22:59] <Ceol> "I will do what I can, but first I must visit my.. I suppose I can call it my new home. I must speak with the people who did this to me."
[22:59] * Ceol points to where the white fur now is.
[22:59] * Koreyan nods, watching Janos and thinking.
[23:00] * Tetra nods. 1"Understandable. Besides... even with the power to draw God to this world, I don't think she'll be strong enough... not yet."
[23:00] * Mayard decides to go away from Koreyan and towards the Yval/Janos group.
[23:01] <Tetra> "So the more time she has to do so, the better."
[23:01] * Mayard has a half grin, trying to indicate "We may have a chance yet."
[23:01] <Ceol> "To draw.. Elyssia?"
[23:01] * Janos smiles at Yval, a not-too-comfortable smile, like he was just considering jumping her, and backs away from her a bit, leaning against the wall.
[23:02] * Koreyan makes his way over to Tetra's side. "How're you feeling? Arm still bothering you?"
[23:02] * Mayard goes a bit more, staggers, then falls to one knee for a moment.

[23:02] * Janos moves to Mayard. "You alright?" he says as he rushes over.

[23:03] * Tetra looks as though he's going to say more, but then looks at Koreyan. 1"Oh, uhm... I'm all right. A few days, and the wounds should be allright... although the bone may need to be reset a little, or some fragments removed..."
[23:04] * Koreyan notices Janos being uncharacteristically kind, and files it away in the back of his mind. "That sounds pretty bad... anything I can do to help out?"
[23:04] <Yvalphone> "May I hold it?" She's quite glad Janos has left. She feels safer around Nachtierre. All he does is loom. That's quite consistent.

[23:06] <Mayard> "Sorry about that. It seems I'm worse off than I thought."

[23:07] * Tetra looks back at Ceol. 1"... perhaps it's better we speak upon returning back home."
[23:07] <Janos> "As much as I absolutely love hanging around here, I think exitting would be a good plan."
[23:07] * Yvalphone smiles at Koreyan. "There's definately some sort of power inside, but I'm not quite sure what it is. It could be dangerous." She hands the crystal back to Nachtierre.
[23:07] <Ceol> "Once we get back to Cocoon I will then head home, If you are willing to wait for my return.. I will accompany you on the Summoners journey. Assumin.. perhaps we should"
[23:08] <Janos> "It's a long road back, and we can walk ant talk at the same time.?

[23:08] * Nachttier turns to face Janos, nodding in agreement.
[23:08] * Tetra nods at Ceol one last time, then heads back over to the general group.
[23:08] * Koreyan smiles back at Yval. "Ready to head back?"

[23:09] * Yvalphone nods. "I'm more than ready."

[23:32] <Aldante_Fax> En route back, not much happens. Yval takes the role of transportation. As you fly over town and circle in for a final descent, you can see the destruction is near total. The time you have been gone has sorely pressed the forces, and there were heavy losses. There are still people alive, though, and there are plans to rebuild the city once more.

[23:36] <Aldante_Fax> The current state of the city is a quickly-growing pile of rubble. Tetra's house is gone, amongst the rubble. Much of it was razed. The population took a steep decline, but those have survived are doing all they can to clear space for reconstruction.
[23:36] <Nachttier> "At least they will be able to rebuild without much interference now."
[23:37] <Yvalphone> ((have we landed yet?))
[23:38] <Aldante_Fax> Many corpses of undead are being carted to a very large mound that reaches about half as high as the inner wall. There is talk about using them as part of building temporary structures, a grisly method of recycling the enemy. Because there won't be enough space for graves, they plan on using dead allied corpses as part of the construction, stripping as much as possible to be used for construction.

[23:39] <Nachttier> ((Am I the only one being reminded of the the third episode of Doom here? Flesh-walls and all.))
[23:39] * Carson just gazes at all the undead. Geeze... So many people who wanted better than to be someone's house.
[23:39] * Ceol stomach growls loudly.

[23:39] * Tetra looks around what's left of the city. 1"... so barren..."
[23:40] <Ceol> "If I actually had food in my stomache... that would be more disturbing somehow."

[23:41] <Aldante_Fax> Even with your arrival, there is little rejoicing. The undead have left quite the problem to handle, and while you have the thanks of the survivors, the numbers speak for themselves.

[23:42] <Janos> "Food and a good night's sleep. In a real bed."

[23:44] <Aldante_Fax> The town is currently incredibly busy. These hardy people have already moved on with their losses and talk about the possibility for what new buildings and new settlers will have.

[23:45] <Aldante_Fax> The only food store open is the Town Hall, which is about half destroyed.
[23:45] * Yvalphone frowns. "They're taking it a bit too well."

[23:46] * Janos doesn't seem to get it. In Deadman's Peak, people saw loss like this every day, but they let the darkness and depression seep in, these people seemed to be forcing it away.

[23:46] * Koreyan shrugs a bit. "These people have been through a lot... They're probably used to it."
